“They close us, good for them. But I would like to understand why and I can’t “. To speak is a bitter Marco Giusti, creator and conductor of Stracult, the broadcast dedicated to the cinema of yesterday and today – broadcast every Monday in the late evening on Rai 2 – that after 20 years it definitively closes its doors.
“I’m not sure I have great affinity with this Rai 2 (…) On the contrary, they made me understand that the program could also continue one day without me”
Giusti declares to Republic. He explains that the leaders of the network, directed by Ludovico Di Meo, “They didn’t even talk to me about ratings”. In reality, the numbers speak for themselves and are not comforting: the show, which Giusti conducts with Andrea Delogu and Fabrizio Biggio, with the participation of rapper G-Max, struggles to even reach 2% share (last Monday’s episode did not go beyond 1.4%), driven – it must be said – by another flop, that of A piece of Lundini.
Stracult, after the holiday break, it should have returned in January 2021. The program, however, will end on November 23 with the last episode.
