The Civil Protection of the Campania Region, in consideration of the evaluations of the Functional Centre, has issued a weather alert warning with consequent Yellow criticality for sudden, rapid and intense rains and thunderstorms, throughout the region starting at 9am tomorrow, Sunday, August 18th, until 9am on Monday, August 19th.
Thunderstorms will be characterized by forecast uncertainty and rapid evolution. The possibility of lightning, hail and gusts of wind is also expected.
Attention must be paid to hydrogeological risk: among the main consequences of the impact of rain and storms on the ground, there are flooding, rising water levels of watercourses, water flow on roadways, runoff with transport of material, falling rocks and landslides also in consideration of soil saturation or conditions of hydrogeological fragility of the land. Due to gusts of wind, public greenery and the correct maintenance of structures exposed to stress must be monitored.
