Meteorologists expect stormy weather in NRW – warnings have also been issued for Wuppertal, Krefeld, Düsseldorf and Kempen.
The German Weather Service (DWD) has issued a severe weather warning for parts of NRW. In the regions around Euskirchen, Aachen, Düren, Heinsberg and the Sauerland, hurricane gusts of up to 110 km/h can prevail at higher altitudes from 600 meters. The DWD also issued an official warning of gusts of wind from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for Wuppertal, Krefeld, Düsseldorf and Kempen.

According to the DWD, there is a risk of trees being uprooted and roof tiles to be able to solve. In Cologne, the city advised its residents not to be near avenues, cemeteries, parks and wooded areas. Overall, the meteorologists expect stormy rainy weather for Germany on Thursday. Individual thunderstorms with heavy gusts of wind and heavy rain are also possible.
