Saturday’s semi-final of the Melodifestivalen was disrupted when a person took to the stage.
It was in the middle of the performance of odds favorite and former Eurovision winner, Loreen (39), that the incident happened.
When she performed the song “Tattoo”, a person with a poster was seen entering the stage.
The artist continued to sing, while the person was led away.
According to The Express it must have been a climate activist who stormed the stage. The police inform the newspaper that four people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
To SVT says project manager Anders Wistbacka that they decided to let the artist perform the contribution once more, as a result of the interruption.
Loreen’s contribution, which was the last of the evening, received the most votes on Saturday and thus went directly to the final.
After the victory, the artist commented on the interruption to SVT:
– I got love from the audience. That doesn’t bother me.
On March 11, it will be decided who Sweden will send to the Eurovision final in Liverpool. Loreen will fight against Norway’s own Marcus and Martinus Gunnarsen.
The twin duo holds second place at the odds list over who people think will walk away with the victory of Melodifestivalen.
