The heavy rain Hans is on its way through southern Sweden on its way to Norway on the night of Monday. Air and ferry traffic is affected in parts of the country.
On Sunday evening and Monday night, three flights that were supposed to land in Arlanda, Stockholm, have been diverted due to the storm Hans.
Swedavia press manager Robert Pletzin confirms this to Dagbladet.
The aircraft in question is a Eurowings aircrafta Ryanair aircraft and two Norwegian aircraft.
– Floating
On Flightradar you can see several planes flying in a circle over Sweden before heading towards Gardermoen. according to The evening paper another Norwegian flight from Edinburgh should also have been diverted to Gradermoen.
Charlotte Holmbergh, communications manager at Norwegian, confirms to Dagbladet that one of their flights has been diverted as a result of the storm.

Pletzin stated around 1 a.m. that so far there are no plans to divert any more flights.
– Air traffic is flowing and the airport is kept open as usual, he says.
Around 03.00, however, another flight, a Ryanair flight, is diverted away from Stockholm. On Flightradar you can see the plane circling over Arlanda airport before it turns and heads for Gothenburg.
Delays
The flight was on its way from Alicante.
The press manager adds that there have been several delays during Sunday due to the weather.
– On the day there were delays due to wind, which then led to more delays during the afternoon. Now tonight it is because of rain.
No more flights are planned from the Swedish airport today, but around twenty arrivals are expected during the night.
Pletzin says that this is a day with a lot of air traffic as the Swedish public holiday is over.
Eurowing also confirms that the storm was the reason for the diversion.
They explain that the plane and passengers will remain in Norway through the night and apologize for the inconvenience.
