Teh Seattle Storm announced on Wednesday that an autonomous investigation into allegations of harassment and bullying by the team’s coaching staff has concluded without substantiating any violations.
The investigation, launched in response to internal reports of potential workplace policy breaches, was conducted by an external investigator to ensure impartiality. “The investigation has been completed and there where no findings of policy violations or any discrimination, harassment, or bullying,” the team stated.
“To protect the integrity of the process, and to preserve confidentiality, we chose not to comment while the investigation was ongoing. The Storm will continue to provide a work habitat in which all individuals are treated with respect,” the statement added.
The Chicago Sun-times first reported the investigation on November 15th,a report later confirmed by ESPN. The Sun-Times indicated that the investigation stemmed from the experiences of multiple players and had been underway for at least two weeks prior to their report.
Noelle Quinn, a former WNBA player, completed her fourth season as Seattle’s head coach in 2024. The Storm finished the season with a 25-15 record, ultimately losing to the Las Vegas Aces in the first round of the WNBA playoffs.
Quinn’s coaching staff for the 2024 season included former WNBA player Ebony Hoffman, former WNBA head coach Pokey Chatman, and Perry Huang. Huang,who had been with the Storm for seven seasons and also coached in the G League,departed after the playoffs to join the Los Angeles Lakers’ G League team as an assistant coach to Zach Guthrie.
