Storm Ciarán has killed at least 12 people in Western Europe, including a five-year-old boy from Ukraine when tree branches fell on him and another three-year-old child while they were on site in Ghent, Belgium.

Details: According to Belgian media, tree branches fell on a five-year-old boy and another three-year-old child while they were on the playground. The boy subsequently died in hospital, while another child suffered minor injuries.
Another victim in Ghent was a 64-year-old German citizen who was hit by a broken tree in a park. She had a daughter with her who suffered a broken leg.
