This has been felt by the seller or seller online Muhammad Idris who is in the business of selling underwear products at Tokopedia and Shopee.

Idris tells that there are quite a lot of products on Tokopedia. There, too, the shop was given a good rating.

Once he had a product that was quite selling because the price was cheap. The rating was good at that time because it got good reviews from consumers.

“The rating is good because it’s cheap at Rp. 12,000, right, people whose names are cheap, yes, those whose names are cheap, you can get that much, that’s why he gave 5 stars, that’s a lot,” said Idris when contacted Kompas.com recently.

However, one day he got a consumer who, according to Idris, was the cause of the bad rating of his product. In fact, Idris said in the product description section, it was very clear to explain the detailed product information.

“Even though it’s been explained there, how much weight do you have, how tall is your height, if that’s the case, then you choose this one. He chose the wrong one, then it was my shop, my product,” explained Idris.

The consumer finally gave a one-star rating to the shop. As a result, due to the drastic drop in its rating, products that were initially favorites or purchased a lot, suddenly declined and were not bought at all.

“In those two weeks, the product didn’t decrease at all because it didn’t sell,” said Idris.

Idris also admitted that he was disappointed because his turnover also had an effect because his sales of these products decreased.

Idris thinks that when a rating is given 1 star, it is like dirt thrown directly in front of a shop. “It means that people will no longer want to shop at our shop, right. Well, the buyer is king, but don’t be like that,” said Idris.

“Anyway, the rating is 1, it’s like you own a shop, then your dirt is thrown in front of the shop. If I’m wrong, say packing-I’m not neat, well, it doesn’t matter to him give a certain rating, “continued Idris.

Idris hopes that there is a fairer mechanism in terms of giving this value. For example, those who are given a rating are not only on stores, but also on consumers.

Idris also admits that the literacy level of the Indonesian people in terms of online shopping is still quite low. According to him, there are still many buyers who do not understand the rating system and rules in Indonesia marketplace.

“There’s a rating scale of 1-5 stars, people give 5 stars because they feel the service is good perfect really, lots of promos, and free shipping. Then if it’s good, it’s only 3, but if it’s a little late to send it even though the courier is wrong, I immediately give 2 or even 1 star,” said Idris.
