Mexico City.-Mexico has a new unicorn: the credit card fintech A story. The platform received another 150 million dollars of investment in an extension of its C round, with which it reached a valuation of 1.2 billion dollars
With this, Stori -which already has one million 400 thousand cardholders– became the first fintech unicorn for consumer credit, that is, for individuals.
Fintech joins the Mexican unicorn club as the small business lender Konfío, the payment provider Clipthe used car platform Kavak, and more recently Nowports and Kushki.
Stori Card approves 99% of its applicants without requiring a credit bureau and its lines of credit range from one thousand to 10 thousand pesos.
