Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre (Labor Party) holds the cards close to his chest about who will be Norway’s new Minister of Defense. But reveals that he is happy with the election.
–
– I can say that we have arrived at a very good solution that I am satisfied with, Støre says to NTB on Monday night.
He confirms that the new minister will be presented on Tuesday.
Støre says that it is important that the Prime Minister, the Minister of Defense and the Minister of Foreign Affairs are completely in agreement when the situation in the world is as serious as it is now, something he feels is taken care of with the Minister of Defense now the government receives.
– You’ll see tomorrow, he says.
Odd Roger Enoksen (Sp) resigned this weekend as Minister of Defense after revelations in VG about a previous relationship with a young and politically interested woman while he was a minister.
