In Virginia, if you have a problem with someone, you can buy a gun and shoot them – that’s what Chris Wilmore learned from a young age. Five neighbors lost their lives that way, he says in one of his videos: “Because of stupid arguments.” In 2013, one of his friends was shot in the back on the way home. He bled to death in front of his son on Christmas Eve. Wilmore decided something had to change. Even if violence seems to be the only solution to many in his city: Can one at least ensure that it does not end fatally?
