stop the rain, the sun returns

After weeks of bad weather and floods, the climate in Italy is moving towards a stability phase thanks to the expansion of the African anticyclone. Antonio Sanò, founder of the site ilmeteo.itexplained that starting today, Monday 28 October, a vast area of high pressure coming from North Africa will extend over the Mediterranean, involving a large part of the Italian peninsula. This change will bring conditions of dry and stable weatherwith temperatures that will tend to increase, especially in the Centre-North, exceeding seasonal averages.

Fogs and atmospheric stasis

Despite the improvement, the presence of high pressure in autumn can also pose some dangers. The absence of winds, in fact, will favor the formation of fog, especially on the Po Valley. Fogs could limit sunshine in the early hours of the morning and, in some cases, persist for much of the day. This atmospheric phenomenon will be particularly visible on Tuesday and Wednesday, with stable conditions and morning mists in the North.
