JAKARTA – Users iPhone which often charges up to 100 percent try to start breaking the habit. The reason, Apple has just warned that it can damage the device.
Charging iPhone to full 100 percent continuously can damage the overall battery life. That means each charging will further shorten the life of the battery itself.
Reporting from the Daily Star, Tuesday (17/7/2022), the iPhone itself uses a lithium-ion battery. And it is known that this type of battery will lose its durability every time it is fully charged.
If you charge 100 percent to hundreds of times, the user will certainly have to replace the battery or even a new iPhone. This battery life can be seen in the “Battery Health” feature in the Settings menu.
There are several things that can be done to anticipate the vulnerability of the iPhone lithium-ion battery.
The first is never to leave your iPhone in a charging state overnight.
We recommend charging while still awake so that you can stop charging when the battery is still at 80 percent.
In addition to ensuring that your iPhone is not regularly fully charged to 100 percent, it also protects your iPhone from extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
This is because the iPhone battery only performs well at temperatures of 16 C and 22 C.
If the temperature is hotter than 35°C, it is certain that the battery capacity may be permanently damaged in the near future.
So, keep your iPhone out of direct sunlight and don’t use a case that’s too thick. Also avoid charging under the pillow.
Don’t forget to turn on Low Power mode to reduce screen brightness and improve device activities to run longer.
