Jakarta –
Casey Stoner had commented about the competition for the 2020 MotoGP world champion without Marc Marquez. Joan Mir replied with insinuation.
Since the crash in the first series of the season, Marc Marquez has not been able to participate in the race again. MotoGP 2020 itself has run for up to nine series of races, out of a total of 14 races.
Casey Stoner, MotoGP champion in 2007 and 2011, said that the competition for the premier class world champions this season has lost its tajinya because there is no Marc Marquez who is the best and most dominant rider in recent times.
How did Joan Mir comment? “It’s nice to talk from outside, (because) he’s retired and such,” said Mir in an interview with Brand.
“What I don’t understand is, in theory, Casey it’s no longer here right? But he only appeared to make this kind of comment. I do not understand.”
“Just let him talk at will, give his opinion. From home, sitting on the sofa, a very comfortable place,” he said sarcastically.
Not only that, Joan Mir then call that Marc Marquez also recorded his first world title in MotoGP when another rival was injured. This still does not reduce the value or prestige of the title.
“It seems like something similar happened to Marquez’s first world title, when (Dani) Pedrosa and (Jorge) Lorenzo were injured. But that doesn’t mean the world title is less valuable. Absolutely not, it is certainly still valuable because it is the first. for him, “he said.
“I don’t understand (comments Stoner) ‘because there is no Marquez, the value has decreased’. You see, Marquez took a risk in the first race and he got injured. But that’s part of the competition. What if Marquez didn’t fall? We’ll never know. But for now, the fact is he crashed in the first race, “said Mir.
Joan Mir currently occupies second place in the 2020 MotoGP standings for a while with 105 points. He only lost to Fabio Quartararo who was in first place with 115 points.
