Truleg has a car driven in stone that has fallen from the tunnel wall. The car must have punctured as a result of the stone in the road. Another car must have just managed to avoid driving on the rock.
Both cars must be out of the tunnel. The punctured car must be out on the Fjærland side of the tunnel.
The fire brigade, police and contractor have moved out to the tunnel. Vegtrafikksentralen report the stone fall around 22.40.
The two cars have not collided, as the police first reported.
The stone should be about one meter in diameter. The contractor is inside the tunnel, and the police report that there is minor material damage.
– It is completely dark in the tunnel at the moment, says Knappen.
The tunnel is closed.

Stone fall two days in a row
Yesterday a stone fell from the roof of the Trodal tunnel on E39 in Masfjorden. Then the car was smashed by Grzegorz (41). A witness described it as if he had an “angel guard”.
The Norwegian Public Roads Administration inspected the Trodal tunnel three days before the fallout.
– Geology is not an exact science. Fjell is a material that is in motion, so even if it is inspected and secured, there may still be loose material in some places that can fall down, said department director in the Norwegian Public Roads Administration Operations and Maintenance West, Svenn Finden to NRK after the accident on E39 .
