Stone Cold Steve Austin breaks the silence after beating Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38

Stone Cold Steve Austin turned back the clock at WrestleMania 38 as he didn’t seem to miss a beat in his first match in almost 19 years!

Texas Rattlesnake defeated Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred match, and he reacted to the win during a post-match backstage interview. The WWE Hall of Famer considered himself lucky to once again compete in front of his hometown fans.

Austin also briefly broke character and praised his WrestleMania opponent Kevin Owens for his outstanding performance.

“I came here looking for anything. This is where I started. I was lucky to end up here. KO is outstanding, she moved her mouth a little too much and caught up with him. But it was really an honor to be here on such a stacked card with so many great matches,” said Steve Austin.

Texs Rattlesnake received one of the loudest reactions of the night when he stepped out for the main event of Night One.

During his post-match interview, Austin praised the superstars who performed before him, saying that it was hard to follow the exceptional matches that came on day one.

The former world champion ended his statement with a heartfelt message to fans as he signed off in his trademark style:

“You love the crowd, and the guys and gals before me had so many great matches. It’s really hard to follow that, but you live and die for that crowd, and this crowd is so faithful. So boisterous, they’re behind everything you So congratulations to the WWE Superstars who worked before me and who will be working tomorrow night. But I congratulate the crowd more because I never expected to be able to headline a WrestleMania on this day. and the weather. It’s about the WWE Universe. Thank you, and take care, because that’s the bottom line because we said so.”

Steve Austin exceeded expectations at WrestleMania 38 by introducing one of the most likable headliners in WrestleMania history.
