Dozens of stolen books, including works by scientists Galileo Galilei and Isaac Newton, have been recovered in Romania, reports Europol Friday.
The books, which were supposed to be transferred to Las Vegas, were stolen from a warehouse in the British capital London. The perpetrators drilled holes in the roof to be able to steal them.
So they were later found in Romania. A spokesman for the Romanian police reports that the find is worth about 3 million euros.
Twelve suspects have now been arrested. They were arrested in raids in the United Kingdom, Romania and Italy.
