Stolen Banksy work found in Italy back to France NOW

Banksy’s stolen work found in an Italian farm in June was handed over to France on Tuesday, reports Le Figaro. The artist made the work on a door of the Bataclan, the concert hall where a terrorist attack took place in 2015.

The work was presented at a ceremony at the Palazzo Farnese in Rome, where the French Embassy in Italy is housed. When it will be brought back to France has not yet been announced.

The artwork, depicting a grieving woman, was stolen from Bataclan a year ago. Banksy made the painting on the door of an emergency exit in the concert hall. The thieves saw the artwork loose last year and then took it with them.

In June, the stolen work of art was found in an Italian farm. Shortly afterwards, six people were suspected of the theft. Two persons are suspected of the actual theft and the other four detainees are only suspected of being healed.
