The long-standing political advisor led the Chancellor’s campaign for Edmund Stoiber in 2002 and served other Union politicians for years. Now he has died.
Michael Spreng is dead. The former journalist and longtime political advisor died in Mallorca at the age of 72. This was reported on Thursday by the German press agency and the magazine “Horizont”, citing a confidant of Spreng’s family.
Spreng was the campaign manager of the chancellor candidacy of CSU politicians in 2002 Edmund Stoiber, then advised, among others, CDU man Jürgen Rütters in the North Rhine-Westphalian state election campaign in 2004.
