NEW YORK (dpa-AFX) – On Wall Street, things went moderately uphill on Tuesday after the mixed week start. The S&P 500 index even barely reached a record high. Overall, however, there was no great joy, because the positive and negative were roughly in balance with the company’s latest quarterly figures.
The US benchmark index, the Dow Jones Industrial, advanced 0.15 percent to 31,007.58 points. The broader S&P 500 last stepped on the spot at 3859.00 points, after peaking at just under 3871 points in early trading. For the technology-heavy Nasdaq 100, it went up 0.20 percent to 13,509.73 points./la/he
