NEW YORK (dpa-AFX) – The US leading index Dow Jones Industrial set a record for the fourth day in a row on Thursday. After just under half an hour, he gained 0.58 percent to 32,485.20 points. The market-wide S&P 500 was only slightly more than 20 points short of the record, it was last listed with plus 0.80 percent to 3929.94 points. The technology-heavy Nasdaq 100 was still catching up with a plus of 1.55 percent to 12,949.97 points.
The number of initial jobless claims last week in the US fell more than expected. Nonetheless, this hardly had a negative impact on prices on the American bond market.
