The apparently growing insight of still-US President Donald Trump into his election defeat brought the Dow Jones Industrial to a record high on Tuesday. In the first hour of trading, the best-known American share index rose to 29,982 points – most recently an increase of 1.28 percent to 29,971.39 points was recorded. The much-noticed mark of 30,000 points is now within reach. The market-wide S&P 500 gained 0.91 percent to 3610.31 points. In contrast, the Nasdaq 100 technology stocks index, which had already been flagging the day before, recorded only a price increase of 0.17 percent to 11,926.28 points.
