Stocks in the Banking Sector See Strong Volatility: Monte dei Paschi di Siena in Focus, Telecom Italia TIM and Oil Stocks Record Sales

Stocks in the banking sector seesaw: strong volatility on Monte dei Paschi di Siena. In red Telecom Italia TIM. Sales on oil stocks

The major indices of Borsa Italiana and the main European financial centres consolidate in positive territory in the first session of the week, with increases of more than half a percentage point.

At 15.20 the FTSEMib it gained 0.76% to 27,367 points, after fluctuating between a low of 27,232 points and a high of 27,469 points. At the same time the FTSE Italia All Share was up 0.78%. Plus sign for the FTSE Italia Mid Cap (+1.1%) and for the FTSE Italia Star (+1,4%).

Il bitcoin it fluctuates around 26,000 dollars (about 24,000 euros).

Lo spread Btp-Bund narrowed below 170 points, with the yield of the ten-year BTP which fell below 4.05%.

L’euro it consolidates above $1.075.

Telecom Italia TIM it lost 0.96% to 0.2483 euros. The telephone company announced that, as part of the competitive process relating to Netco, two new non-binding offers were received presented, respectively, by the consortium formed by CdP Equity and Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (Europe) Limited and by KKR.

The titles of the banking sector.

Strong volatility on Monte dei Paschi di Siena (-0.97% to 2.152 euros), after the heavy correction suffered in Friday’s session.

Positive performance, however, for BPER Bank (+1,06%) e UniCredit (+0,87%).

Sales on oil sector stocksafter the price of crude oil in New York (contract expiring in July 2023) fell to $68 a barrel.

ENI records a drop of 0.82% to 12.878 euros.

Also in red Saipem (-1,25%) e Tenaris (-0,58%).

At MidCap featured EASY-A e MFE-Bwhich gain respectively 6.81% at 0.505 euro and 3.56% at 0.713 euro.
