Now the selling price of various types bike slumped in the market. For lovers of folding and mountain bikes, the price of a bicycle is around Rp. 1 million. Previously, the price of this bike jumped to over Rp. 3 million.
“Back when the boom, the price of bicycles was not fair. Mountain bike and fold the price above Rp3 million all. Now the price is Rp. 1 million. In the past, there were no bicycles valued below Rp. 3 million,” said the owner of the Cahaya Baru Bike Shop, Sandy, which is located on Jl. Royal NCO No. 98-100, Kranji, West Bekasi to MNC Portal Indonesia, Saturday (19/6/2021).

This New Light Bike Shop has three branches. The first (central) store is located at Tanjakan Pasar Kranji, the second is located at Bintara-Kranji, and the third branch is located at Pondok Gede.
Sandy said his shop sells various types of bicycles and brands ranging from local to imported. Such as Dahon, United, Element, Polygon, and Pacific brands. Of the various types of bicycles in the shop, folding and mountain bikes are still the favorites for buyers.
Not only that, Michelle’s mini bikes and BMX and mochichi brands for children are also competitive. Until now, there are still many buyers of children’s bicycles. Sandy said, the price of children’s bicycles is in the range of Rp. 400-500 thousand.

For information, the trend of riding began to fade unlike last July. Where at that time many people were competing to have bicycles to fill the day at home because of the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB).
“In the early days of the pandemic, not many people had bicycles. Now because there are many who have bicycles, there are fewer people who buy it,” explained Sandy.
The reason for the decline in bicycle prices is because bicycle enthusiasts have decreased, unlike the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, while there are still plenty of supplies in stores.
