Stock Performance in Gulf Cooperation Council Countries: TASI Rises, Kuwait Falls, Bahrain and Qatar Mixed

The performance of stocks in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries varied on Sunday in the weekend session.

While the UAE markets were on holiday, the main market index on the Saudi Stock Exchange, “TASI”, rose 0.41% to 11,962.72 points, through the trading of 237.86 million shares, with a value of 4.80 billion riyals.

In Kuwait, the general market index fell 0.61% to 7,194.28 points. The volume of shares traded amounted to 254.3 million shares through 12,525 cash transactions worth 58.4 million dinars.

In Bahrain, the Bahrain General Index rose 0.36% to 2,074.54 points, through the trading of 1.03 million shares, with a value of 402,219 dinars.

The Qatar Stock Exchange index fell 0.09%, to 10,040.49 points. During the session, 103.691 million shares were traded, worth 281.155 million riyals, as a result of 10,291 transactions.

The Muscat Stock Exchange “30” index fell 0.07% to 4559.93 points. The trading value reached 2.871 million riyals.

Outside the Gulf region, the Egyptian Stock Exchange index, EGX 30, fell 3.03% to 27,573.5 points.
