Investing.com – United States: Equity markets closed the session in mixed order on Wednesday; the rise of sectors,, and contributed to this increase, while the decline of sectors,, and had a downward effect on prices.
At the close of the NYSE, the index was up 0.01% to hit a 1-month high, while the index was down 0.74% and the index was trading lower, down 2.04% .
The best performance of the session for the index is due to the stock Visa Inc Class A (NYSE 🙂 up 4.60% or 8.95 points for a closing price of 203.33. In second place we find 3M Company (NYSE 🙂 which gained 3.54% or 4.20 points to close at 122.70. The title Amgen Inc (NASDAQ 🙂 rounds out this top three with a 2.57% increase or 6.67 points for a session ending at 266.66.
Boeing Co (NYSE 🙂 marks the worst performance of the session, losing 8.77% or 12.86 points for a closing price of 133.79. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ 🙂 drops 7.72% or 19.34 points and ends at 231.32. For its part, Salesforce Inc (NYSE 🙂 lost 3.24% or 5.36 points for a closing price of 159.91.
The best performances of the S&P 500 index go to Universal health services Inc (NYSE 🙂 which earns 13.05% for a price of 109.30, Rollins Inc (NYSE 🙂 up 10.04% to 39.55 e Enphase Energy Inc (NASDAQ 🙂 which gained 9.90% for a closing price of 291.87.
The worst values are Assuring Inc (NYSE 🙂 down 10.47% to 136.75 on close, Alphabet Inc Class C (NASDAQ 🙂 losing 9.64% to 94.82 and Alphabet Inc Class A (NASDAQ :), down 9.14% to 94.93 at the close.
The best performance of the NASDAQ Composite Index goes to ESSA Pharma Inc. (NASDAQ 🙂 gaining 180.23% for a price of 4.82, Cipher Mining Inc (NASDAQ 🙂 up 42.56% to 1.18 and Loyalty businesses Inc (NASDAQ 🙂 which gained 39.60% for a closing price of 1.15.
The worst performers were Thermogenesis Holdings Inc (NASDAQ 🙂 down 49.56% to 0.11 at close, Fednat Holding Co (NASDAQ 🙂 down 30.98% to 0.42, and Taysha Gene Therapies Inc (NASDAQ :), down 27.52% to close at 2.16.
The rising shares outnumbered the falling shares of the New York Stock Exchange in 1861, values at 1246 and 120 stable; on the NASDAQ, 2202 values recorded an increase and 1581 recorded a decrease, 216 remained unchanged.
Shares of Assurant Inc (NYSE 🙂 fell to a 52-week low, after falling 10.47% or 15.99 points to a price of 136.75. Rollins Inc (NYSE 🙂 stock was up to a 52-week high, rising 10.04% or 3.61 points to a price of 39.55. Shares of Alphabet Inc Class C (NASDAQ 🙂 fell to a 52-week low after falling 9.64% or 10.11 points to a price of 94.82. Shares of Alphabet Inc Class A (NASDAQ 🙂 fell to a 52-week low after falling 9.14% or 9.55 points to a price of 94.93. Shares of Amgen Inc (NASDAQ 🙂 rose to an all-time high, after gaining 2.57% or 6.67 points for a price of 266.66. Shares of Thermogenesis Holdings Inc (NASDAQ 🙂 fell to an all-time low, after falling 49.56% or 0.11 points to a price of 0.11.
The index, which measures the implied volatility of options on the S&P 500 Index, fell 4.15% to 27.28, a new one-month low.
On the other hand, December delivery gold gained 0.60% or 9.95 points at $ 1.00 per troy ounce. As for other commodities, crude for December delivery rose 3.31% or 2.82 points to a price of $ 88.14 a barrel, while Brent for January delivery gained 2.51% or 2.30 points at a price of $ 94.04 per barrel.
EUR / USD was up 1.17% to 1.01, while USD / JPY fell 1.03% to 146.38.
The US dollar index fell 1.16% to 109.55.
