The fear that the delta virus may delay the reopening of the world community means that US equities, oil prices, and US government bonds have all fallen today before the stock market opened on Wall Street.
The S&P 500 stock index falls 1.9 per cent at 6.30 pm Norwegian time on Monday. A decline of one percent was expected in advance.
Among the companies that fall on the stock exchange are Apple, which has fallen 2.6 percent after falling 1.9 percent in the pre-trade on Monday, and Tesla, which has fallen 2.55 percent after falling in the pre-trade as well.
The US industrial index Dow Jones Industrial Average also fell 2.3 percent, and the Nasdaq Stock Exchange fell 1.5 percent.
