Stock Market News: Nel Falls 4.7% as Brokerage Houses Lower Price Targets

Nel falls 4.7 per cent after Pareto Securities and Fearnley Securities have lowered their price targets – the former from NOK 7 to NOK 5 and the latter from NOK 7 to NOK 4.60.

Mixed in farming

Grieg Seafood fell over 5 percent on Thursday on a disappointing quarterly report where the company lowered its guidance for 2024, and continues down 2.5 percent so far on Friday.

Several brokerage houses have reacted by cutting the price target. Arctic Securities cuts from NOK 60 to NOK 54 and Carnegie from NOK 61 to NOK 60. Both repeat sales. Nordea Markets goes from NOK 85 to NOK 75, but repeats purchases.

Elsewhere in salmon, Mowi falls 0.9 per cent (NOK 2.20), and the share is thus in reality only marginally down since it is currently trading at NOK 1.90 excluding dividends.

The farming company Proximar rises 4.9 percent to NOK 3.20 after its report in which the company is on track for the first slaughter in Japan in the third quarter.

In the air on numbers

Goodtech rises 17.5 per cent after a record quarter. The company reported significant increases in its top and bottom lines in the fourth quarter. EBITDA increased to 20.6 million compared to 3.8 million in the fourth quarter of 2022.

Scana falls 9.7 per cent on its quarterly report, which tells of records on several fronts. Green Minerals corrects down 9.5 per cent after rising 43 per cent yesterday in the wake of its quarterly figures.

Øystein Stray Spetalen-dominated Standard Supply falls 56 per cent (NOK 2.73), which is connected to the fact that the share on Friday goes to NOK 2.75 excluding dividends. This means that the main shareholder himself cashes in close to NOK 276 million.

The oil price

Oil prices fell on Friday, after the marked rise on Thursday evening triggered by the fact that the Iran-backed Houthi militia has stepped up its attacks in the Red Sea.
