Stocks in Germany closed higher at the end of trading on Monday, as the indices were accompanied to the upside, and gains were recorded in the food and beverage, consumer and chemical materials sectors.
At the end of trading in Frankfurt, the DAX 30 recorded an increase of 0.58%, while the MDAX index climbed by 0.40% and the TecDAX technology index consolidated its position at 0.71%.
Among the leading stocks today in the DAX 30 was Persedorf Eximgzelshift (ETR: BEIG), which rose 1.91%, or 2.10 points, and closed at 112.20. In contrast, shares Sartorius AG Vz (ETR:SATG_p) added 1.87% or 8.20 points to end at 446.90, while Fresenius Med & CGA ST (ETR:FMEG) was up 1.75% or 0.64 points to 37.14 in late trade.
As for the weaker performer at the end of the day’s trading, shares closed Covestro AG (ETR:1COV), down by 1.08%, or 0.45 points, and trading at 41.25 levels at the close. Arrow Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:SHLG) declined 0.85% or 0.44 points to end at 51.34, and Continental AG (ETR:CONG) closed down 0.84% or 0.58 points to 68.10.
On the other hand, the best performance in the MDAX index was recorded by a stock Nemetschek AG (ETR:NEKG), which rose by 2.79%, at 51.54; Software AG (ETR: SOWGn) also increased by 2.59% and closed at 19.80 levels, as well as Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR: VBKG) which rose by 2.44% and closed at 48.70.
Among the underperforming stocks today, we mention the stock of the company Siltronic AG (ETR:WAFGn), which fell by 5.93%, and closed its session at a price of 77.80. Befesa SA (ETR:BFSA), which lost 3.60% at 47.68 shares. Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER), which weakened by 2.80% and closed at 44.13 in today’s session on the stock exchange.
On the other hand, the best performance in the TecDAX technology index was recorded by Nemetschek AG (ETR: NEKG), which increased by 2.79% at a price of 51.54. Software AG (ETR: SOWGn) also continued its rise by 2.59% and closed at levels 19.80, and Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR: VBKG) rose by 2.44% and ended its trading at a price of 48.70.
Among the underperforming stocks today, we mention Siltronic AG (ETR: WAFGn), which fell by 5.93% and closed its session at a price of 77.80. United Internet AG (ETR:UTDI), which lost 1.23% at a price of 19.28, and Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:SHLG), which weakened by 0.85% and closed at a price of 51.34 today’s session on the stock exchange.
The number of gainers exceeded the number of shares that closed lower in trading on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange with 410 compared to 264, while 87 remained unchanged.
DAX New Volatility, which measures the implied standard deviation of options on the DAX 30 index, traded lower by 2.36%, closing at 19.88.
Gold futures for April delivery fell 0.67%, or 12.65%, and closed at $1,861.85 an ounce. As for the trading of other commodities, WTI crude oil futures contracts for March delivery increased by 0.77%, or 0.61 points, and reached a price of $80.33 per barrel, while the April contract for Brent oil contracts increased by 0.31%, or 0.27 points, and closed at $86.66 per barrel.
The EUR/USD pair maintained its stability by 0.37% and traded at 1.07 levels, while the EUR/GBP pair remained unchanged by 0.17% and reached 0.88 levels.
The dollar index futures traded down by 0.25%, at the level of 103.28.
