The record hunt in New York continues. The Dow Jones closed 291 points higher at 33,794. The Standard and Poors climbed to 4128 points – another record. The NASDAQ is a little behind. Amazon will still not have a works council. Workers at one location in Alabama voted quite clearly against union representation. This is the second attempt by unions to get a foot in the door in 27 years of company history. Amazon is the second largest employer in the states with one million employees. The share rose 2 percent to $ 3,370 – a record too.
Boeing: Again problems with 737 Max
Boeing’s stock lost just under one percent. Once again, the aircraft manufacturer had to admit that there are technical problems with its 737 Max. Boeing asked 16 airlines to leave the machines on the ground. The DAX closed 31 points higher at 15,234. On Tuesday it had reached an all-time high of over 15,300. The euro was $ 1.19.
