MARKET REVIEW. The New York Stock Exchange opened in scattered order on Monday, pending the first major corporate earnings releases later in the week.
The clues
In Toronto, the S&P/TSX yielded 3 points, or 0.02%, at the opening. The composite index had accumulated 20,254 points.
In New York, the S&P 500 gleaned 1 point, or 0.04%, to 4,371 points.
The Dow Jones gained 35 points, or 0.1%, to 34,905 points.
The Nasdaq took 5 points, or 0.04%, to 14,707 points.
