The Chinese Room (Dear Esther) managed to scare the entire gaming community when they announced Still Wakes the Deep during the Xbox Games Showcase in June.
In this psychological horror adventure, we get to play as Caz McLeary, a survivor of a drilling rig that was hit by a disaster, and as if that wasn’t bad enough, there is also a mysterious and possibly supernatural phenomenon that makes things even worse. In a new trailer shown during yesterday’s Xbox Partner Preview event , we get to see Caz explore the destroyed platform and try to get to safety. He encounters claustrophobic surroundings, strange voices and a terrifying creature chasing him.
Still Wakes the Deep will be released in early 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X. It is also included in Game Pass from day 1.
