The summer of 2021 would go down in the history books as Summer of Love, but partly due to the ongoing corona measures, little came of it. Gerard Joling, on the other hand, did experience his own Slutty Summer in recent weeks. “I let the pony graze!”

The 61-year-old singer says that he has not been sitting still this summer. “I’m in good shape and everything still works well, so I literally let the summer come over me. Sun, rain, fun. And above all: a drink together.”
The fact that not much is known about Gerard’s love life is mainly due to the singer himself. “I have colleagues who are already together on the red carpet after one evening with someone. I do not feel like it. There are sometimes loves or affairs, but you can keep them secret for a long time if you want. Not everyone likes to be in all the magazines right away.”
Joling has been in the business for more than 37 years now, and he is still recognized everywhere. The fact that he is currently very active on social media plays a major role in this. “I’m way too old for all that fanfare, but there’s still an upward trend. I now have a total of over a million followers, isn’t that a hoot?”
