Former US President Donald Trump was part of a criminal conspiracy to change the outcome of the US presidential election in 2020. The final report of the commission on the assault on Congress established on January 6 shortly before Christmas .
– None of what happened on Jan. 6 would have happened without Trump, the report says.
In a recent interview, Adam Kinzinger, one of the few Republicans who voted to impeach the former president, comes out and says he believes Trump will be indicted for his role in the attack on Congress.
– I think it will be prosecuted. And to be honest, I think it should be, says Kinzinger in an interview with Cnn.
“Hey, this is the threshold”
The report on the storming of Congress came after an 18-month investigation into the storming of Congress and the former president, and was 814 pages long.
The House of Representatives Investigative Committee questioned more than 1,000 witnesses, held ten hearings and gained access to millions of documents. The report also made a number of recommendations, including one that Trump should no longer be allowed to run for office.
He recommends that Trump be prosecuted

The assault posed a serious threat to democracy and put the lives of members of Congress at risk, the report concludes. It was prepared by a nine-member committee: seven Democrats and two Republicans.

Kinzinger himself was one of two Republicans who served on the January 6 Committee. Witnesses in the report, including many of Trump’s closest aides, provided insight into the former president’s behavior in the weeks leading up to January 6 and how his election fraud allegations directly affected those who attacked police. and they made their way into Congress.
The Republican also points the finger at the Republican leader in the House of Representatives, Kevin McCarthy. He is accused of the fact that Trump still has such great influence on American politics.

Another presidential election awaits in 2024 for the United States. Kinzinger tells CNN that it wasn’t initially his intention for him to run as a candidate, but that he still thinks it would be fun to run as a competitor for Trump.
– He just sits there and lies. He tells lies. People love it, because it’s fun. So no, my intention is not to run for office in 2024, but that would be fun, says Kinzinger.
