Steven Gerrard became a legend who also entered Premier League Hall of Fame. His current appearance at Liverpool which led him to that title.
Premier League establishes Gerrard among its Hall of Fame ranks, or the most important player in the history of the competition. The former England midfielder does have a striking appearance with Liverpool in the Premier League.
Being captain of Liverpool, Gerrard has a record of 504 appearances in the Premier League, from 1998 to 2015. In total, he scored 121 goals and 97 assists in the Premier League.
On the official website of the Premier League, Gerrard is considered to have contributed in terms of his game. His skills, assists, and quality as a midfielder are considered to be one of the best in the Premier League.
“As a driving force in midfield Liverpool for 17 years, Steven Gerrard “inspired his team mates with fast moves, precise passes, tackles and spectacular attacks, scoring 120 goals and providing 92 assists in the competition,” wrote the Premier League.
Gerrard himself was elected to enter Premier League Hall of Fame because it was elected by the public and the Premier League panel. He followed six other legends, namely Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, Frank Lampard and Dennis Bergkamp.
The nomination entry requirements Premier League Hall of Fame means that the player must have retired by 1 August 2020. In addition, only a player’s career in the Premier League is considered in his assessment.
Among the legends, only Gerrard has never won the Premier League. He can only bring Liverpool to be runner-up in the Premier League three times.
Steven Gerrard himself is now a career as a manager. He has just brought Rangers FC Scottish League champions with an unbeaten record throughout the season. His name is starting to be rumored to be a replacement Jürgen Klopp of Liverpool.
