The University of Georgia won its first college football championship since 1980 by beating Alabama 33-18 and finally, Kirby Smart was able to defeat his mentor Nick Saban. The stars of the game were quarterback Stetson Bennett and cornerback Lewis Cine.
Also, Georgia’s defense excelled by limiting Georgia to just 30 rushing yards and intercepting Bryce Young twice during the second half.

EThe fifth-year player completed 17 of 26 throws for 224 yards and two touchdowns. His two touchdown passes, a 40-yard pass to Adonai Mitchell and a 15-yard pass to Brock Bowers, were important in the fourth quarter for Georgia to take the lead. In addition, the senior recovered from having suffered a fumble at the beginning of the final set
Lewis Cine
Cornerback Lewis Cine was named Defensive Player of the Game after making seven tackles, one of them for loss of yards.. Cinema was key to the Bulldogs stopping the Crimson Tide on three trips to the red zone and only getting nine points.
In addition to being important for Alabama to only convert nine of 20 times they were forced to play third down, Cine was the one who recovered the ball after a field goal blocked by Jalen Carter in the third period.
