Stephan Theiss elected speaker

Bad Vilbel(pm). At the annual general meeting of the Wetterau section of the non-party but CDU-affiliated Economic Council, the members elected Stephan Theiss (managing pilot of Digital Mindset GmbH) as the new speaker. Theiss replaces the previous spokesman, Andreas Bellof (self-employed communications trainer), after a two-year term of office, according to a press release from the Economic Council. Bellof remains loyal to the section and will continue to contribute professionally to the association. In the work of the section, Theiss is supported by Bellof, Raif Toma (Signal Iduna Insurance and Finance), Johannes Langstrof (Quadro Real Estate Development) and Rinku Sharma (techeroes).

Theiss and his colleagues on the board intend to focus more on municipal and socio-political issues over the next two years, such as expanding the digital infrastructure in the Wetterau so that schools and companies do not lose touch with digitization. The focus should be on the equipment, in particular on the provision of devices and a faster Internet connection. In addition, the transport infrastructure should be an important political issue on the agenda of the Wetterau section, including the improvement of road quality and the road network as central concerns. The development of the real estate market in the region and the question of how it can be designed to be economically viable are also on the program.

Theiss calls for us to look to the future with optimism, despite the challenges that would arise from the Corona crisis and general structural change. The Wetterau region is well connected to the Rhine-Main metropolitan region and therefore has the potential to grow with its social tasks. To this end, the Economic Council will provide substantive impulses in the Wetterau section and, in dialogue with politicians, will work on a daily basis to promote positive development in the region.
