At the same time, he emphasizes the importance that the imposed restrictive measures are fully respected by all citizens.
“We are now seeing positive dynamics in Kiev, as well as in the whole country. Two weeks ago, I said that we would reach the peak on April 15,” the head of the Ministry of Health said.
According to him, in order for the positive dynamics to continue in Kiev and “so that on April 30 we will soften the quarantine” – it is necessary not to violate the current restrictive measures.
“Everything depends on us all, without exaggeration. If one part of the Kievites adheres to the established rules, and the other does not, then it is quite difficult to reduce the level of morbidity and hospitalization,” Stepanov said.
The official also explained whether the Ministry of Health will recommend tough restrictions on Easter and May holidays.
“It is important for us that the restrictions that exist are fulfilled. Of course, there will be a special regime, we will ask, appeal to citizens to have already started doing, limit contacts as much as possible, large crowds of people,” he said.
Stepanov also drew attention to the fact that the British and South African strains circulating in Ukraine are “over-aggressive” and lead to “a very severe course of the disease.”
