At some point, WhatsApp extended the option to open WhatsApp Web. Not only with QR Codes, now you can use the cell phone number registered for your WhatsApp account.

However, keep in mind that this method still requires the primary cell phone to open an account. Because later you can access the code listed on WhatsApp Web.

The cell phone number option can be used if you encounter problems when scanning the QR Code. For example, you cannot open an account even though it has been scanned several times.

Here’s how to log in to WhatsApp Web with a cell phone number:

  4. Click on the Connection Tools menu
  5. Select the link with a phone number instead of option
  6. Enter the verification code listed on WhatsApp Web
