The developers of the upcoming action game Stellar Blade from the Korean studio Shift Up celebrated with a really funny prank on April Fool’s Day. On the official pages of the studio on April 1, a supposedly official announcement of the next game called Dead Spicy appeared, which will give players a horror action game with a third-person view. The project’s debut trailer with gameplay footage was also published. However, in fact, the video is a funny reference to Dead Space, Metal Gear Solid and a number of other famous games.
The name Dead Spicy itself already refers to the cult horror series Dead Space. According to the developers, players will also have to fight against a new type of necromorphs that resemble alien beetles. In terms of gameplay, the game parodies the popular mobile project Goddess of Victory: NIKKE. In addition, Dead Spicy contains signature elements from the Metal Gear Solid series, when you need to hide from enemies in an ordinary cardboard box.
Dead Spicy is scheduled for release on April 1, 20XX. This release date for the game once again emphasizes that this was just a joke from Shift Up. Nevertheless, many users liked the demonstration of the project, and they are seriously asking the studio to release the game at least for mobile platforms.
