As the 50:50 merger project progresses as defined in the combination agreement announced on December 18, 2019, Peugeot SA (“Groupe PSA”) and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (“FCA”) (NYSE: FCAU / MTA : FCA) take a major step and announce today that the name of the new group will be STELLANTIS.

STELLANTIS comes from the Latin verb “stello” which means “to shine with stars”. It is inspired by this new and promising alignment of legendary automobile brands and strong corporate cultures which, when united, create one of the new leaders of the next era of mobility while preserving all the exceptional value of the whole creates as well as the values ​​of each element which constitutes it. The process of creating the new name began shortly after the announcement of the merger agreement, with the support of the Publicis Group, and the top management of the two companies was closely associated throughout the process.

The name STELLANTIS will be used exclusively at Group level, as a Corporate brand. The next step in the process will be the unveiling of a logo which, along with the name, will become the brand’s brand identity. The names and logos of the existing brands of the STELLANTIS Group will remain unchanged.

As previously indicated, the finalization of the merger project should take place in the first quarter of 2021, subject to customary closing conditions, including the approval by the shareholders of the two companies at their respective extraordinary general meetings and the satisfaction of regulatory requirements. bodies concerned, including the competition authorities.
