The Stellantis Group has made a decision that can change everything, and which is already causing discussion among fans. Here’s what was decided.

We are in a moment full of innovations for the world of four wheels, with all the large groups focusing on electric and reducing emissions. Stellantis has overtaken Tesla in electric car sales and now it is second only to Volkswagen in Europe in terms of registrations, certainly a significant result, considering the fact that it has always been considered inferior to the competition in terms of zero-emission vehicles.

As we will see later, Stellantis wants to sell only EVs in Europe by 2030, an objective that is full of ambitions considering the current situation of this market. Electric cars are in fact declining, but the big brands, to date, cannot change their minds. The Dutch multinational holding company, in this regard, has made a strong decision.

Stellantis, here is the decision that has been made

The group Stellar aims to expand the capabilities of its employees and obtain increasingly important results, and this is why a targeted choice was made. In fact, in Turin, precisely SUSTAINera, a circular economy hub, was born in the Mirafiori districtwhich was strongly supported by the top management of the Dutch multinational holding company.

It is a cutting-edge center which is an absolute novelty, and all the top management took part in the inauguration. In fact, the president was there John Elkannbut also the CEO Carlos Tavaresand this new place it is seen as a real turning point for the production of sustainable carswho can follow the will of the group which focuses entirely on electric and on a clear cut to toxic emissions.

The surface covered by the new hub is 73,000 square meters, and is further proof of Stellantis’ great commitment to reducing emissions. The philosophy to follow is that of the 4Rs, or Regeneration, Repair, Reuse and Recycling. The objective is in fact not to waste anything, but to always try to get the best out of everything you have in your hands, to try to repair it and then reuse it.

The place where the new Hub was built was abandoned, so the redevelopment of a historic place for the world of four wheels was also useful. Elkann’s holding company invested 40 million euros in its constructionand it must be said that, in this sense, large investments are never rejected.

At this point, it will be necessary to understand how much a structure of this type can help in the change of pace towards zero emissions, when there are only 7 years left until the famous 2030, when Stellantis will suspend the sales of internal combustion cars in Europe. The ideas seem to be very clear, but it is clear that a significant increase in demand will also be needed to try to make electric cars an important business.
