Stefka Gencheva: Women have an important role in the Parliament, we do everything qualitatively and on time – 2024-10-21 08:51:00

Stefka Bozhkova is on the lists of GERB-SDS

Stefka Bozhkova – Gencheva is from Sungurlare, but lives and works in Burgas. Married with one son. He is engaged in beekeeping and vegetable production. He knows well the problems of farmers and beekeepers and has a clear vision of how the sector can be helped. He has been successfully developing a private business for years – he owns a company and two stores for beekeeping equipment, honey and bee products.

Mrs. Gencheva, you are a successful businesswoman, why are you also involved in politics? Do you think that the ladies will contribute to more dialogue and constructiveness in the Parliament?

– I have been participating in politics relatively recently, but yes, I think that ladies have a very important role in the Parliament, we women can do several things at the same time, even so we are more mobilized to do everything qualitatively and on time. Ladies have a diplomatic approach when making decisions

-Each of the candidates from the lists of GERB-SDS is a specialist in his field and can give ideas for the development of the sector in which he works. What do you think is the future of agriculture in the Burgas region?

– Our list is really very good, each of us is a professional in his field, in my opinion there is a future for agriculture in our area, we are a tourist destination and thousands of Bulgarians visit Burgas and the region, which leads to more consumption of fruits and vegetables. It is better to produce our products here than to import them. We have the right conditions to develop good agriculture.

– How can young people be attracted to the industry?

– Very good question, work in the industry is very labor-intensive, we would attract young people if there was better pay, digitization in the sector, modernization programs in agriculture, online markets that can open the door to new business opportunities in rural areas. Thus, we would really retain the young people, and not have them go abroad in droves.

– What are the most important priorities in the development of Burgas in the next 4 years? What are your personal causes?

– I want Burgas to be a modern European city. The development of our city must continue and build. The new projects are many and even better. I don’t know a person who doesn’t like Burgas.

– What projects GERB – SDS and you personally will insist to happen in the smaller municipalities?

– It is very important to have a well-built infrastructure in order to reach small settlements quickly and safely. After the Covid crisis, people started returning to their hometowns or buying new ones, and we need to keep this trend going.

– In your opinion, should the state pay more attention to municipalities and finance more projects and what in smaller settlements?

– Yes, not only should it, but it is mandatory. I am of the generation that grew up in the countryside when the countryside was full of life. It is good to have more Euro-projects to be able to apply for them, but again we come to the point that we must have a stable and regular government in order to be able to apply for the projects, and the other EU countries also have projects. benefit from tov

– Burgas region is touristic. Do you have a vision for the development of tourism?

– The development of tourism is going in the right direction. We have a wonderful opportunity that has been given to our city – the sea, we have mineral springs in Vetren, Nessebar, Pomorie, Sozopol, Tsarevo cities, which everyone must see and last but not least – Strandzha mountain. So welcome to the most beautiful part of Bulgaria, Burgas and the Burgas region.

– What do you wish would happen in the next 4 years – for you personally, for Burgas and for the country?

– Personally, I wish to continue developing in beekeeping and on a larger scale in vegetable production. To attract and keep more young people in our city, and as we can see, this is already happening with the opening of new university branches, improved health care and the new children’s hospital under construction, as well as the big project for a student city in Burgas.

If every Bulgarian citizen with the right to vote voted, we would not be in this situation. This is what I wish for the upcoming parliamentary elections, a higher voter turnout. It is time to have a regular government to start making the right decisions and to attract more foreign investors to our beautiful and fertile country, but for that to happen we must first on October 27th vote for the right party that has proven over the years , that it can – GERB-SDS coalition.
