Many people remember the Caucasian leading the roll call of the convicts in the film “Station for Two”. Did you know that the performer of this tiny role is not an actor? Meet Vyacheslav Maneshin, staff photographer at Mosfilm.
Everyone in the studio knew him. And the directors considered textured and periodically called in episodes. Sometimes they are so tiny that the name Maneshina was not even indicated in the credits. As, say, in the film “Love and Pigeons” – his hero unsuccessfully tried to invite Raisa Zakharovna to dance at the club. Remember?
Vyacheslav’s biggest role in the “Cruel Romance” is Kuzmich, the fireman of the “Swallows”.
Maneshin acted in films just like that, out of pleasure, he did not ask for fees. In general, Vyacheslav is famous for the fact that for 17 years he worked as a personal photographer for Alla Pugacheva.
“I gave her the best years,” he confessed. – Even shooting with Danelia, Todorovsky did not replace that buzz for me.
In 1976, the singer’s then husband, director Alexander Stefanovich, introduced her to Maneshin. Their trips on tour and just traveling together began. At one time, the Primadonna even tried to arouse jealousy in her husband.
– We arrived in Yalta and went with Alla in the evening to a cafe, and Stefanovich stayed at home to sleep, – said Vyacheslav Mikhailovich. – The situation repeated itself the next day. This went on for two weeks. Alla and I are buzzing all night, and her husband is sleeping at this time. Once Pugacheva could not stand it and told him: “Sasha, what if Slavka fucks me?” Stefanovich, he was such a phlegmatic person, in response he only waved his hand: “So be it.”
Maneshin wanted to organize a personal exhibition of 3,000 AB archival photographs. But there was not enough money – about $ 15 thousand was needed. And then he completely moved away from show business. He led a normal life, remained faithful to his wife Natalia, looked after his 95-year-old mother. He was a parishioner of the Trinity-Golenishchevo Church and a deeply religious person – he got married, took unction, confessed and regularly took communion. In 2013, at the age of 72, he passed away.
