Stefano Lilipaly and Bali United part ways. The story of togetherness between the two parties that has been going on for about five years has now come to an end.
Stefano Lilipaly first came to Bali United in mid-August 2017. Shortly after that he immediately debuted for his new team against Madura United in Liga 1 2017.
“I just want to say thank you to all the fans for your support and love during my 5 years here. We shared many beautiful moments together and I am delighted to be part of such a wonderful club,” said Lilipaly in a statement released by the club.
“But every story has a beginning and every story has an ending. I also want to say that my story ends here for now. I wish the club success in the future. Hopefully we will meet again soon and thank you for everything. Matur Suksma,” he said.
Lilipaly’s arrival to Bali United was a surprise because she was shining with Dutch club SC Cambuur. In fact, the club participating in the Dutch level 2 competition was escorted by Lilipaly to advance to the semifinals of the KNVB Beker or the 2016/2017 Dutch Cup.
While on-fire with SC Cambuur, Lilipaly made a surprise by joining Bali United. He also made 15 appearances for Bali United in his first season after his arrival midway through the competition.
2018 was Lilipaly’s first full season with Bali United. He managed to score 12 goals from 22 appearances with Serdadu Tridatu which could only end the season in 11th place.
The following season, Bali managed to rise by becoming the champion of Liga 1 2019. Lilipaly became a pillar of the team by appearing 30 times and scoring five goals.
The number of identical appearances was recorded again by the Dutch player in the 2021 BRI Liga 1 where Bali United was again the champion. Bali United’s success in the last two seasons cannot be separated from Stefano Lilipaly whose game is fairly consistent.

The club prays for the former FC Utrecht coach to be able to continue his brilliant career elsewhere.
“On behalf of the big family of Bali United, I would like to thank Stefano Lilipaly for his dedication and struggle with Serdadu Tridatu for the last 5 years,” said Bali United CEO Yabes Tanuri.
“As one of the players who brought Bali United to the Back to Back Champions League 1 in 2019 and 2021/2022, of course, we really appreciate Stefano’s real contribution. We are sure that the moments with Fano will always be remembered by Semeton Bali. We wish Fano success always in the future,” he said.
