We all use it all the time. Video chats have become our new everyday life and our conversation partners have become tiles or dots. The bodies disappear and people seem to have no lower body. And if we otherwise interrupted each other, completely new things now happen during the interruption: it jerks, it hangs, it trembles, it repeats. We seek contact by sticking our heads to the screen and only gain distance by revealing our nostrils.
„glitchy communication“ playfully explores our online video communication in the current time and undertakes artistic choreographic experiments in it.
Stefanie Elbers works as a freelance choreographer and dance mediator in North Rhine-Westphalia. Her mediating and choreographic activities in the field of dance and theater encompass all age groups. Together with the director Oleg Zhukov, Stefanie Elbers regularly works on plays with young people at the FFT Düsseldorf.
