Wrestler Štefan Bazso (34) was preparing for his professional match, but his life took a completely different turn. After an initially unspecified injury, doctors diagnosed him with a carotid artery injury with acute brain swelling. Slovak website Čas has now come up with new information, namely that the accident, in which he subsequently lost both legs and part of his skull, should have occurred during a street fight.
He has been in the hospital for two months and is fighting for his life. Slovak MMA wrestler Štefan Bazso was hospitalized at ARO, where doctors amputated both his legs and part of his skull. For a long time it was not known what actually happened to him, but now Slovak website Čas he came up with surprising information.
“In relation to the incident you mentioned, we can confirm that the police are acting on the matter. The investigator of the criminal police department in Košice is conducting a criminal prosecution in the case of bodily harm. All the necessary procedural actions are being carried out in the matter in accordance with the criminal code, while charges have not yet been brought against any specific person in the matter, nor has a final decision been issued.” said police spokeswoman Jana Mésarová.
He fought a kickboxer
According to available information, Štefan was involved in a street fight with a skilled kickboxer from Košice. “I heard that it happened here in Krásna, but I don’t know any other details,” one of the residents of the metropolis described to the already mentioned website.
Štefana’s partner created a collection. The goal is to collect 50,000 euros, currently the transparent account shows over 35,000 euros, i.e. less than 850,000 crowns.
“Stefan will visit the hyperbaric chamber in the near future. If there’s anyone in the world who can do it, it’s him. The fight is still not won, he has problems with wound healing and bedsores.” his girlfriend wrote on hers social networks.
