Nacon just produced their new soul game Steelrising, which turns out to involve an obscene sum of VRAM for its ultra textures.

Even at 1080p, the video game demands over 13GB of VRAM for extremely texture (at extremely options and no ray tracing). And with 4K resolution, movie memory requirements exceed 14GB.


And you couldn’t argue with these movie memory prerequisites if these textures justified them. Having said that, there is nothing on the display screen that really justifies them.

Whilst tests the game, there were texture loading difficulties on both of those the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080Ti and the RTX 3080 at 1440p / Extremely. In numerous destinations the game was not able to load higher resolution textures.
