At the end of Week 12 in the NFL, Bernhard Raimann and the Indianapolis Colts (4-7-1) lost 17:24 to the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-7).
The deciding factor is a miserable first half in which the Colts get close to nothing. The first drive ends after just two plays with an interception by QB Matt Ryan. At least the Colts defense was wide awake from the start and only allowed field goals several times.
Steelers running back Najee Harris scored just his first touchdown of the night in the second quarter, but had to finish the game at halftime with an injury. A 90-yard kickoff return early in the second half puts the Colts in scoring range, with Jonathan Taylor handling the rest – 10:16.
Nearing the end of the third quarter, Michael Pittman Jr. put Bernhard Raimann’s team in front for the first time, the Steelers responded with a Benny Snell touchdown and a successful two-point conversion to take the win.
The Austrian NFL rookie got off to a good start but made a game-winning error when he was unable to withstand pressure from Alex Highsmith, putting Ryan under pressure and failing to complete a fourth down pass.
With their 52nd win in a Monday Night Game, the Steelers catch up with record holder San Francisco. Despite this, Pittsburgh remains last in the AFC North while the Colts are second in the AFC South.
