And a PC demo is out there.
Last week tempted Thunderful teased us that they planned to showcase the future of the Steamworld series, and now we know what it was all about. There was no more Steamworld Headhunter, as a certain editor was hoping for, but instead they continue to broaden the number of genres that Steamworld dips its toes into.
Steamworld Build is the name of the game that was announced, and it’s a city builder where we not only have to carve out a prosperous society above ground, but also explore and find resources underground. In the underground, you get clear Dungeon Keeper vibes, where you mark squares that you want your miners to dig out and place defenses against the giant insects that are present.
The game will come to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S in 2023, but you can actually already try a demo on PC (Steam, GoG, Epic). Thunderful also talked about the game and showed off more gameplay during yesterday’s stream, which you can see below.
